I followed up a much longer and cheaper trip from Honolulu on southwest, everything was phenomenal, this flight was the exact opposite. Blows my mind they charge for water of all things. I’ll be avoiding spirit like the plague from here forward.

MADE for kids is located in St. Louis’ Delmar Maker’s District on Delmar Boulevard between the Central West End and the Delmar Loop. Located just two blocks west of Kingshighway, the facility is on the second floor of the adult makerspace MADE STL. Very professional, knowledgeable flight attendants. Knew there was weather, and were notified of 20 min delayed, and then suddenly canceled.

Finally we disembarked but our luggage could not be processed there as not enough custom agents. We ended up on buses and arrived at Sydney airports after a 3 hours trip. There we had to queue in line with 240 more passengers to file a lost luggage claim. We received the luggage after 48 hours, many of which spent holding with non-existent United customer service. Never able to speak to an actual person during those long phone calls.

I paid just under 200 for flight and luggage, then paid 200 to change the flight, then paid 100 for a carry on. I bought a delta flight for 270 never flew with spirit, but spirit kept 250, not even refunding the 100 for the carry on though they cancelled the flight (for weather on a day with only a slight rain ). The entertainment was a bit lack luster. Better movie options as well as equipment that works smoother could be nice. My ear buds from the airline didn’t work and my tv screen had a terrible delay that made it hard to search for things to watch. The children’s museum opened in 1979, and somewhere around here I’ve got a button to prove it.

The Gentle Barn is currently located in Los Angeles, California, Nashville, Tennessee, and St Louis Missouri. It is open to the public once a week for guests to hug the cows, give the pigs tummy rubs, cuddle the turkeys, feed the horses, hold the chickens, and learn their stories of resilience. During the rest of the week The Gentle Barn is available for private tours, VIP all day tours, school field trips, birthday parties, groups of at risk, inner city, and special needs kids, and special events. The Gentle Barn teaches children about animals in a way that will change their perspective about themselves and the world around them. We want to show children that even though we all look different, we are all the same inside. Every living being has language and needs food, water, shelter, and love.
It takes more than one day to fully explore and enjoy the scholastic treasures found on every floor of the Magic House. Exhibitions such as the Bubble Room and the Lewis and Clark Adventure are designed to educate and entertain people of all ages. Visit the art studio at the lower level early in your visit. You can leave your child’s paintings there to dry while you explore the rest of the museum! Just don’t forget to pick them up before you head out, or you WILL be making a return trip at the insistence of your children (speaking from experience). In 2019, to further extend the reach of The Magic House in the community, we opened MADE for Kids, a new satellite location created for children ages 4-14 on the north side of Delmar Boulevard in the City of St. Louis.
The Magic House, as well as MADE for Kids, also has Free Family Nights the 3rd Friday of every month from 5-8 pm! This covers families with up to two adults and four children. Everyone from grandparents on down can have fun at The Magic House, but the exhibits are mostly designed for younger children. The “For Baby & Me” area features a peek-a-boo barn, baby gym, and miniature school bus. Toddlers can spend their time at “A Little Bit of Magic,” a fun exhibit that includes a textured tunnel to crawl through, a sandbox for digging, and a mirror maze. The Magic House uses Digital Membership Cards.
