I was worried the hotel would be loud and rowdy with it being so close to spectrum center after a concert but it wasn’t at all. Seems like the staff have good control of the property as a whole. The staff and room are very accommodating. The room was large, and even had a kitchen, dishes, a decent sized fridge and all for a decent price. Nothing out of the ordinary for a hotel but decent.

Not the crew’s fault, but adding 20 minutes to a 45 minute flight sucked. As we lined up to board they gave our plane to a flight going to Newark. So then we got delayed until they could find another plane. I’m assuming since it’s a shorter flight they only offered water and coffee. Honestly, I didn’t expect that I will experience this long time wait during the check in.

With KAYAK you can also compare prices of plane tickets for last minute flights to St. Louis from Los Angeles. There were 3 leg for the trip and each leg was delayed by 90 minutes or more. The boarding process takes forever with people waiting on the jetway even though most folks do not have carry-on. Can’t say there was anything I particularly liked. Seats were very tight, leather wrapped plastic.

Of course I wish planes were more comfortable and had seats that would tilt back further. Nothing, flight was supposed to leave at 758 am. Intended to be in intimate experience for a small group of close friends/family.

Finally on a chatline I could talk to a baggage agent, who filed another report as our luggage did not appear anywhere in their system. We love Magic House-themed birthday parties. The staff runs the entire party – it is incredibly hands-off.
There was only one person who was taking care of the passengers for the economy class and it took us to wait about one hour to do our check i. As a result we barely get to the airplane as the gate was at the end of the airport. That is totally not professional where one crue is working at the registration desk with economy and 3-4 crues are helping for the business class.

I followed up a much longer and cheaper trip from Honolulu on southwest, everything was phenomenal, this flight was the exact opposite. Blows my mind they charge for water of all things. I’ll be avoiding spirit like the plague from here forward.

MADE for kids is located in St. Louis’ Delmar Maker’s District on Delmar Boulevard between the Central West End and the Delmar Loop. Located just two blocks west of Kingshighway, the facility is on the second floor of the adult makerspace MADE STL. Very professional, knowledgeable flight attendants. Knew there was weather, and were notified of 20 min delayed, and then suddenly canceled.
When to book flights from Los Angeles to St. Louis
Finally we disembarked but our luggage could not be processed there as not enough custom agents. We ended up on buses and arrived at Sydney airports after a 3 hours trip. There we had to queue in line with 240 more passengers to file a lost luggage claim. We received the luggage after 48 hours, many of which spent holding with non-existent United customer service. Never able to speak to an actual person during those long phone calls.

I paid just under 200 for flight and luggage, then paid 200 to change the flight, then paid 100 for a carry on. I bought a delta flight for 270 never flew with spirit, but spirit kept 250, not even refunding the 100 for the carry on though they cancelled the flight (for weather on a day with only a slight rain ). The entertainment was a bit lack luster. Better movie options as well as equipment that works smoother could be nice. My ear buds from the airline didn’t work and my tv screen had a terrible delay that made it hard to search for things to watch. The children’s museum opened in 1979, and somewhere around here I’ve got a button to prove it.

The Gentle Barn teaches children about animals in a way that will change their perspective about themselves and the world around them. It takes more than one day to fully explore and enjoy the scholastic treasures found on every floor of the Magic House. Exhibitions such as the Bubble Room and the Lewis and Clark Adventure are designed to educate and entertain people of all ages. Visit the art studio at the lower level early in your visit. You can leave your child’s paintings there to dry while you explore the rest of the museum! Just don’t forget to pick them up before you head out, or you WILL be making a return trip at the insistence of your children (speaking from experience). In 2019, to further extend the reach of The Magic House in the community, we opened MADE for Kids, a new satellite location created for children ages 4-14 on the north side of Delmar Boulevard in the City of St. Louis.
The Magic House, as well as MADE for Kids, also has Free Family Nights the 3rd Friday of every month from 5-8 pm! This covers families with up to two adults and four children. Everyone from grandparents on down can have fun at The Magic House, but the exhibits are mostly designed for younger children. The “For Baby & Me” area features a peek-a-boo barn, baby gym, and miniature school bus. Toddlers can spend their time at “A Little Bit of Magic,” a fun exhibit that includes a textured tunnel to crawl through, a sandbox for digging, and a mirror maze. The Magic House uses Digital Membership Cards.

In the new musical “The Great Gatsby,” which opened on Thursday night at the Broadway Theater, the grass outside the cottage is groomed, flowers are everywhere, and a fleet of servants is ferrying food. And Jeremy Jordan’s Gatsby is an adorably panicked basket case, second-guessing in charming comic song his plan to ambush Eva Noblezada’s Daisy with a reunion. The home was built in 1902 and came to be owned by journalist Herbert Bayard Swope, one of the first recipients of the Pulitzer Prize and editor of the New York World. It was Swope’s parties that Fitzgerald was said to have attended.
Kingdom Come Farm was the place from which Fitzgerald’s own green light shone. It was the Roaring Twenties, an era when flapper dresses and fireworks set to brass jazz bands sent nights spiraling into debauched infamy. It was a world we now can only imagine, but once, long ago in the glimmering past, it did exist.
The history of the house -- and its legendary influence on Fitzgerald -- was reported by Forbes when the house was for sale in 2005. The once-grand home called Lands End has fallen into disrepair. But back in the day, the 25-room, 20,000-square-foot Colonial Revival mansion was home to parties attended by Winston Churchill, the Marx brothers, Dorothy Parker and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. According to local lore, Fitzgerald drank there too, Newsday reports. The Great Gatsby is fiction, but you can really live out your glamorous Jazz Age fantasies in an 18-bedroom, 32-bath castle in the King’s Point section of Great Neck that recently hit the market for $55 million.
Even for American royalty, triple-digit acreage and double-digit staffs were too much to fund forever. Like Gatsby’s “huge incoherent failure of a house,” they drowned in their own sauce. The fewer clues left, the more the moneyed mystery of the Gatsby mansion begs to be solved. Fitzgerald moved to Great Neck with his wife, Zelda, in the fall of 1922. Although the “less fashionable” of the two municipalities, it still abounded in the societal glitter he had long craved, not unlike the young Jay Gatsby.
Undoubtedly, Lin broke all the unspoken rules of theater here and the barrier of color lines...and oh, how it was needed. Especially now, in a time when there is so much racial unrest in this country, ushered in by the death of George Floyd. This melting pot of incredible talent on stage makes me so proud to truly be an American because I see people who look like "me" operating in a mainstream capacity.
